Welcome

The Education Credit Union Council's National "Burning Money" Project From FoolProof

For over 38 years, the not-for-profit Education Credit Union Council has endeavored to help schools reach young people with true consumer advocacy and financial literacy messages.

That’s why ECUC has partnered with The FoolProof Initiative to provide Burning Money—for free, and with no obligation—to educators.

We believe Burning Money is the most engaging and ethical tool currently offered in the United States to help both teachers and students address financial literacy and consumer advocacy issues.

We’re not the only people who believe that:

FoolProof is the only financial literacy program in the country that is endorsed by both the Consumer Federation of America and the National Association of Consumer Advocates—and the executive director of both organizations serves on the FoolProof Advisory Board.

"ECUC is excited about this opportunity to help teachers, schools and school systems meet their state's financial literacy mandates and guidelines. We know FoolProof's "Burning Money" series is groundbreaking. Burning Money teaches more than raw skills of budgeting and saving. It teaches young people 21st century skills needed to become responsible consumers such as critical thinking, listening skills and real life financial scenarios. If you want to take your students from novice to advanced learners, Burning Money will help you accomplish that."
